We understand that some of our utility customers did not receive the “One Call” for the boil advisory/boil advisory lifted from last week. We have contacted the company that provides this service to us, and we were told that we have not “verified” our number with their system, therefore phone calls were not sent out. Only text messages were sent.
We were then told that in October of 2025, the Federal Government passed laws regarding spam calls and that we had to verify our number in the system before the “One Call” went out or the calls would be considered “spam” and would not go out. We do not use our One Call system often and were not aware of the new law.
We do apologize for any inconvenience and or confusion this may have caused. Our phone number has been verified so the next notification will go out to everyone who has updated their information with us.
